OWC's new Accelsior 8M2 PCIe solid-state drive combines blazing fast speeds with up to 64TB of storage capacity, taking your Mac Pro to the next level.
OWC says the PCI-E card is capable of speeds up to 26 gigabytes per second, users can edit and playback up to 16 streams of 8K ProRes 444 without issue — and is currently the fastest drive for the Mac Pro.
Each OWC Accelsior 8M2's eight NVMe M.2 SSD slots can run at their full x4 lanes of data throughput when installed into a native PCI-E slot.
The heat-dissipating design keeps the SSD cool, allowing for constant peak performance. The maximum storage capacity for the Accelsior 8M2 is 64TB, giving you plenty of space to store massive photo and video projects.
When you purchase an Accelsior 8M2 SSD, you'll also get SoftRAID XT, an intuitive software RAID utility. Design the best RAID for your needs, be it maximum volume capacity, optimum drive performance, or data protection. In addition, it boasts features like drive validation, verification, and failure prediction.
Also included is Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office, allowing you to create complete backups, clone disks, and will enable you to backup locally, to the cloud, or both.
The OWC Accelsior 8M2's SSD is available from MacSales in capacities ranging from 0TB (add your own drives) starting at $799.00 and 2TB, 4TB, 8TB, 16TB, 32TB and 64TB models starting at $1,299.00.
