Apple Fitness+ celebrating International Dance Day with workouts & more

Apple Fitness+ is celebrating the lead-up to International Dance Day with a new collection of workouts, a limited-time award, and a new Artist Spotlight.

International Dance Day lands on April 29, and Apple Fitness+ is celebrating all aspects of music and dance. Starting the week of April 18, Apple kicked off the celebration by bringing back its Artist Spotlight series with ABBA, BTS, and Queen.

Additionally, new Dance-focused content will debut starting later in April. The content will include a new first-of-its-kind Artist Spotlight Dance workout — led by trainer Ben Allen — that will feature music and choreography by K-pop group BTS.

Starting the week of April 25, other trainers will share similar dance-inspired fitness routines. LaShawn Jones will debut content focused on joy, while Jhon Gonzalez will have workouts celebrating genres such as cumbia, tango, and Indian pop.

Users can also nab a new award on International Dance Day by completing any dance workout of at least 20 minutes or more. The Fitness+ service itself will feature a special selection of workouts to help users earn the badge.

Apple will also encourage Fitness+ users to get a dance workout in beyond International Dance Day with "Get into a Groove with Dance." The new workout collection starts with a trio of 20-minute workouts before progressing users to three 30-minute performance-based workouts.
