A first-look trailer at the Apple TV+ dramatization of Sarah Perry's "The Essex Serpent" novel has been released ahead of its May 13 premiere.
From See-Saw Films, the production company behind Apple TV+ hit "Slow Horses," the six-episode series stars Claire Danes and Tom Hiddleston. First announced in August 2020, it's set in Victorian times, and sees Danes playing a woman investigating reports of a mythical serpent.
"She forms a surprising bond of science and skepticism with the local pastor (Hiddleston)," says Apple in a press release, "but when tragedy strikes, locals accuse her of attracting the creature."
The miniseries is dramatized by Anna Symon, previously known for the BBC/PBS drama, "Mrs Wilson." The first two episodes will stream from May 13, with each of the following four premiering weekly on Fridays.

Looks like another good one! I'm currently really enjoying Slow Horses and Pachinko.
