On this episode of HomeKit Insider we review the newly-released Eve Aqua, continue to discuss Amazon's purchase of iRobot, and talk about Twinkly's new lighting product.
Much of the show was dedicated to the third-generation Eve Aqua. It launched with a whole new design, a silent magnetic valve, and a brass connector. Eve Aqua communicates with your HomeKit home via Thread and is one of the best way to water your lawn or garden via Apple HomeKit.
In other news, Twinkly announced new smart light squares. These tiles have an array of pixels for you to create individual pieces of artwork or combine multiple tiles into a large piece of pixel art. They can be controlled via HomeKit but only off, on, and brightness as the art must be created in the Twinkly app.
We heard this week that LifX has been purchased out of receivership by Feit Electronics. This US-based company has pledged to keep LifX running including launching new products in the next year.
After a rumored summer launch alongside the Sonos Ray, the long-awaited Sonos mini sub seems to be delayed. Sonos said as much during a recent earnings call saying that a much-expected product would be pushed to Q1, which starts in October for the speaker maker.
