The PowerShot V10 weighs a little over seven ounces, conveniently fits into a pocket, and provides an all-in-one solution for lifestyle and travel content creators. It incorporates top-notch microphones and a built-in stand, enabling vloggers to generate engaging content for social media.
Designed with a vertical body and prioritizing ease of use, the PowerShot V10 is engineered for seamless single-handed operation. It features a 2.0-inch LCD touchscreen that can be flipped to the front, making it ideal for self-vlogging or recording others.

That kit features a cage that allows for the attachment of a ring light or external microphone, providing users with enhanced flexibility in their vlogging setup.

I feel for Canon. This product is clearly an attempt by the company to stay relevant in the new digital era, where smartphones have almost completely destroyed their primary market.
On a recent vacation I decided to splurge and rent a fancy L-Class lens for my Canon SLR. I wanted to see if it would be worth dropping thousands of dollars on some nice glass. The sad truth is that I was very underwhelmed with the results, and my best photos from that trip were taken with my iPhone 14 Pro. Granted, I am no professional and stuck to the automatic settings. But so what? What is the point of lugging around a big heavy camera if most people can get as good or better shots with the phone already in their pocket? I for one will be saving my money for future phone upgrades and I am willing to bet that I am not alone in that regard.
I hope they are able to evolve and keep up.
"What is the point?" springs to mind. Canon will never catch up with Apple and Google on computational photography. They should concentrate on their strengths - lenses, sensors, system-photography and be authentic about it. This is a brand-destroying product. It appears Canon is looking towards the plug-hole.
Sounds like an easy and affordable way to shoot 4K video while on vacation or for creating YouTube videos for people who do not have a smartphone capable of shooting 4K, i.e. a very recent model.
There are so many specifications for a camera to satisfy. For one, this one lacks the ability to zoom. The smartphone with its powerful CPU and great screen can easily satisfy most of the requirements for an excellent camera. At present, it seems the only one missing is bigger zoom.
