Apple TV+ received several awards at the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards, including Best Picture for "Killers of the Flower Moon" directed by Martin Scorsese.
On Wednesday, AARP announced the winners of its Movies for Grownups awards, which are given out to "champion films made by and for grownups."
As Deadline points out, "Killers of the Flower Moon" was one of two double winner films. In addition to Best Picture, the film was also awarded Best Supporting Actor for Robert De Niro.
Of De Niro's performance, AARP said De Niro had "never crafted a more chillingly brilliant performance than his turn as William King Hale."
However, "Killers of the Flower Moon" wasn't the only Apple TV+ title that won an award. "Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie" brought home the award for Best Documentary.
"Killers of the Flower Moon" was also recently awarded the Golden Globe Best Performance by a Female Actor — Motion Picture, Drama for Lily Gladstone's performance.

So the movie is for old people. Got it.
Of course my first thought is always to look to AARP for movie recommendations. Second in line is probably AAA. I’d imagine the first criteria for getting a nod from AARP is whether the theaters showing the film offer a senior discount, followed closely by whether intermissions are inserted at prostate friendly 20 minute intervals to allow for bathroom breaks.
The movie is 3 and 1/2 hours long so not just the prostate afflicted need BR breaks. It is a great film but it took my wife and I a three day weekend to watch it.
