On this episode of the HomeKit Insider Podcast, we check out a pair of new purifiers, go hands on with the Mophie Qi2 dock, and break down more new product launches.
Nanoleaf's new string lights are available, though the name can be misleading. These dangling pendant lights are more similar to your typical filament bulbs found on outdoor patios.
They are Matter-enabled, support RGBIC, and over 16 million colors. They come in three lengths from 15m to 45m and extensions can also be purchased.
The next new product to hit the shelves was the SmartMi Air Purifier E1. This HomeKit-controller purifier can be wall mounted and has replacement pre-filters with different prints and patterns.
A second purifier also launched this week from WeLov. This one is notable as the very first Matter-enabled purifier to be released.
WeLov also touts a feature that allows the purifier to sync with Apple Health to coordinate with your sleep schedule.
Finally, Govee launched its Floor Lamp 2 and Floor Lamp Pro. Your host goes hands-on during the episode going into pros of the Matter-equipped Floor Lamp 2 and highlighting issues with the pro version.
In other news this week, Home Assistant matures and has some big changes to announce. It has formed a new overseeing non-profit organization while spinning off its for-profit arm to sell cloud storage and accompanying hardware.
We also revisit the Mophie 3-in-1 Qi2 charging dock that we've been testing. It's a solid build with fast charging for all your devices.
