Control Ultimate Edition will land on Mac February 12, 2025

Remedy Entertainment's Control Ultimate Edition is one of the major games that has repeatedly been referenced as part of Apples push for gaming on Mac. In Remedy's Capital Markets Day presentation on Tuesday, it revealed when it will ship.

The presentation to investors and analysts mentioned that Control Ultimate Edition will be released on Mac on February 12th, 2025. The news was also part of a summary on the developer's Bluesky account.

Control is a third-person action game where the player enters a mysterious building in New York that is the headquarters for the Federal Bureau of Control. The FBC handles supernatural objects and events, but it has been taken over by an unknown threat, putting the building into lockdown.

The player is immediately designated the new director in charge of the facility, quickly gaining powers of their own by interacting with special objects, such as a sentient gun and a murderous refrigerator. They are then tasked with cleaning the mess and saving the organization from attack.

Originally released in 2019, Control received critical acclaim, as well as a number of downloadable content missions post-release.
