Full seasons of Netflix shows can be downloaded to iPhone with a single tap

Netflix brings Season Download button to Apple devices

If you love binging your favorite shows on Netflix, a new-to-iOS and iPadOS feature makes it even easier.

Starting Wednesday, Netflix has rolled out a much-requested feature to the Netflix iPhone and iPad App. You can easily binge your favorite Netflix series by tapping the Season Download button.

To find the new button, head to a show's display page. The button will be next to the Share option.

Once tapped, the entire season will begin downloading automatically. When it comes time to delete episodes or keep tabs on what you've already downloaded, you can head to the Downloads section under the My Netflix tab.

While most people stream their content directly from the web, the ability to download full seasons to your preferred device has some serious utility. This would be perfect for those long plane or train rides where you can't rely on Wi-Fi or 5G for all your streaming needs.

The Netflix app requires an iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later, or an iPad running iPadOS 17.0 or later. Netflix is also available for the Apple TV.

Android users have already had access to the Season Download button for some time.

Netflix recently instated an across-the-board price hike for 2025. Virtually every Netflix plan, from the low-cost ad-supported subscription option to the premium plan, will see a substantial increase in pricing.

Netflix has worked to eliminate user password sharing in recent years, resulting in a substantial increase in subscriptions in 2023. However, it remains uncertain whether the recent price hike will achieve its objectives.

Nice feature.  Too bad I've cancelled my subscription due to their never-ending price hikes.  Squid Games 3 comes out in June...I'll resubscribe then and cancel and re-up again when Stranger Things comes out.  For the price, I should be getting 4K, not 1080p.
