Apple TV's latest French thriller, "La Decision", throws the president of France into a political and personal nightmare after his secret daughter is kidnapped.

On Thursday, Apple TV announced "La Decision," a new French-language political thriller. The seven-episode series will star Cesar Award nominee Raphael Personnaz and SAG Award winner Diane Kruger.

When an eight-year-old is kidnapped, the French president's world is thrown into chaos. The child is his illegitimate daughter, unbeknownst to his wife and political advisor.

When the kidnapping becomes a matter of the state, the Elysee Palace intervenes in an attempt to recover her. As a result, the president, revered for his honesty and integrity, is torn between his private life and public responsibility.

"La Decision" will be produced for Apple TV by Solab Films, award-winning White Lion Films, and M Films. It is executive produced by Nicholas Tiry, Noor Sadar, and Bourboulon.

The series is the latest in Apple TV's French programming. That catalog includes "The Hunt," set to debut in December, and International Emmy Award-winning Best French-Japanese Drama series "Drops of God".
