"The Hunt" was set to debut on December 3, 2025, but it's been removed from the Apple TV app and elsewhere with no explanation as to why.
This comes just weeks after Apple TV also postponed the premiere of "Savant" shortly before it was set to air. At the time, it was rumored that the decision was made following the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
Now, it appears that another Apple TV show has been canned at the final hurdle. Although this time, Apple TV has yet to comment on the move.
At the time of writing, there is no sign of "The Hunt" in the Apple TV app, and most references to it have been removed from Apple TV's press relations website. However, a press release announcing it under its French title (A l'ombre des forets) from June 2024 remains.
"The Hunt" follows Franck and his friends as they enjoy a weekend hunting. But things go awry when they come across another group of hunters who soon target them as their prey. Shots are fired, and things soon go downhill from there.
Most of the show's YouTube trailers have also been removed or marked private, as 9to5Mac noted. However, the trailer remains available via Apple TV's Australian, Canadian, and Mexican YouTube channels.
It's unclear whether "The Hunt" will make a return and, if so, when that will be. It's also unknown why Apple TV has chosen to seemingly cancel its premiere so close to the big day.
It's also strange that some, but not all, of the show's trailers have been removed from YouTube.
