A new report claims to have details of the colors for the forthcoming iPhone 18 Pro, including that the signature one will be Dark Cherry.
Apple did already go some way to getting rid of the horrible Cosmic Orange color, by making some iPhones turn pink instead. But reportedly, it's now discarding the color entirely, in favor of a more appealing Dark Cherry.
Macworld claims to have a source that has provided the complete list of colors for the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. That list is not very much different to previous rumors, especially concerning reports of Apple considering various shades of red.
This list, though, says that Apple has settled on one red, and that in total the iPhone 18 Pro will come in:
- Dark Cherry
- Light Blue
- Dark Gray
- Silver
The silver option is said to be similar to the current iPhone 17 Pro, but then it always seems that there's a basic silver one in the range. The light blue is claimed to resemble the Mist Blue of the current iPhone 17.
It's not impossible that Apple will reuse a color from the base iPhone 17, except the whole reason for the colors is so people spot who has new ones. So a top of the range iPhone 18 Pro Max needs more bragging rights.
Then, too, Apple has also used Dark Cherry before. In November 2025, Apple began selling a range of ten accessories in that color, with chargers, cables, and cases.
Those accessories came from multiple suppliers, but with an identical color. AppleInsider surmised at the time that Apple had directed those third-party firms to produce accessories in this color.
If Apple had told them that the color would match the iPhone 17 Pro, then those manufacturers must've been a bit disappointed. Whether they've subsequently pulled out, or Apple has dropped them, almost all of those accessories are no longer listed on the Apple Store.
The only one still available is a USB-C charging cable, in two varieties, starting at $50.
