According reliable Apple sources, Apple will announce a new array of software products at tomorrow's Macworld Expo New York.
iMovie 2.0
According to sources, Apple will announce iMovie 2.0, which is expected to ship on Apple's new hardware offerings. A 2.0.1 updater will also be posted to Apple's servers, Apple sources said.
A Revised Mac OS 9.0.4
Apple is also expected to quietly release a replacement version of Mac OS 9.0.4 which will add ROM support for Apple's new iMac, Power Mac Cube, and Power Mac G4s to be announced at Macworld.
Apple DVD Authoring Software
As some readers may already have read, Apple recently purchased ASTARTE — developers of DVD authoring software. Tomorrow Apple is expected to announce rebranded versions of:
ASTARTE DVDelight/RT
ASTARTE DVDExport/RT
ASRARTE DVDirector/RT/Pro
ASTARTE M.Pack
ASTARTE A.Pack
and
ASTARTE CD-Copy"
Rumor has it that ASTARTE will continue to manufacture the products, but they will come branded by Apple and sold through Apple's distribution network.
These DVD authoring products will be re-released on the Mac first with Wintel products following shortly behind, sources said.
