Apple rolls out fourth iOS 13, iPadOS 13, tvOS 13, watchOS 6 developer betas [u]

Last updated

Apple has made available to developers the fourth beta version of iOS 13, iPadOS 13, and tvOS 13.

Developers can download the latest builds via the Apple Developer Center, or by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update if the user is running an older beta.

A public beta version is expected to be released soon, and will be available both as an over-the-air update, as well as the Apple Beta Software Program.

This next phase of beta testing arrives just over two weeks after the third, which added the FaceTime Attention Correction feature, allowing users to simulate direct eye contact over FaceTime.

The third beta also saw improvements to apps like Notes, Health, and Home, as well as overall tweaks to performance.

Both AppleInsider and Apple itself strongly recommend users don't install the betas on to "mission-critical" or primary devices, as there is the remote possibility of data loss or other issues. Instead, testers should install betas onto secondary or non-essential devices, and to make sure there are sufficient backups of important data before updating.

Update::The tvOS 13 and watchOS 6 fourth developers betas are now available as well.

Good to know. I was in between whether to install or not.
