A first trailer for the award-winning Broadway musical "Come From Away" has been released on Apple TV+ ahead of its September 10 streaming.
In 70 seconds, the "Come From Away" trailer sets up the true story of 7,000 passengers stranded in a small town as flights were grounded on September 11, 2001. It shows the fears of the passengers, and the overwhelmed locals trying to help them.
"Come From Away," written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, is a Canadian stage musical that has won Tony and Olivier awards. Apple TV+ bid an unspecified amount to gain the rights to a production that was filmed live on Broadway, in front of 9/11 survivors and frontline workers.
The musical is due to stream on Apple TV+ from Friday, September 10, 2021, a day ahead of the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

"You Are Here: A Come From Away Story" is a good companion documentary to watch.
It's on Crave in Canada, it doesn't appear to be streaming in the US.
This is something Apple should develop. A ‘channel’ on TV+ showing recorded live theatre performances of musicals, dramas and comedies would let those of us “from away” from Broadway see shows we now only hear about. How about a music concert channel, too? I used to love the iTunes Music Festival shows.
