Nanoleaf Lines review, Siri on Ecobee hands on, & more on HomeKit Insider

Last updated

This jam-packed episode of HomeKit Insider brings you our review of Nanoleaf Lines as well as Siri on Ecobee's SmartThermostat.

Sparking the most interest this week was the launch of Siri on the Ecobee SmartThermostat and the reveal of Nanoleaf's new smart light.

We tested Siri on our own SmartThermostat and found it to be extremely handy and almost the same as adding an ultra-convenient HomePod to another room in our house. It even supports AirPlay 2 — albeit in beta.

The new Nanoleaf Lines differs from the company's previous smart lights because instead of panels its light bars that project light against the wall, indirectly lighting your room. There are many patterns that can be created with add-on expansion packs available.

Other news included the launch of a handy HomeKit Database app, HomeKit coming to TP-Link Kasa, and a Xiaomi HomeKit lock with built-in facial recognition, fingerprint reader, passcode, and NFC.
