Apple celebrating Year of the Tiger with special edition AirTag & Beats Studio Buds

Apple has released a Beats Studio Buds emblazoned with Year of the Tiger imagery, alongside a limited edition AirTag in Japan.

The new Beats Studio Buds are red, with gold striping signifying the Year of the Tiger. Otherwise, the product is the same as the standard edition.

Apple says the Beats Studio Buds will be available in-store only starting on January 1. Pricing is not yet available but the standard Beats Studio buds retail for $149.

The special edition AirTag is somewhat less adorned. It is a white AirTag with a tiger emoji stamped into the case. The first 20,000 customers in Japan to buy an iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, or iPhone SE on January 2 or January 3 direct from Apple will get the AirTag for free.

Apple is also including a gift card with the value depending on the product purchased, up to 24,000 yen ($209). Apple has a special Year of the Tiger portal page with more details.
