Apple TV+ thriller 'Disclaimer' adds Oscar-nominated Kodi Smit-McPhee

Academy Award-nominated actor Kodi Smit-McPhee has reportedly signed to join the cast of Alfonso Cuaron's "Disclaimer" thriller on Apple TV+

According to Deadline, Kodi Smit-McPhee is to star alongside confirmed cast members Cate Blanchett, and Kevin Kline. It is again claimed that Sacha Baron Cohen is in talks for a role in the series.

Smit-McPhee has been nominated for an Oscar for his supporting role in "The Power of the Dog." Writer/director Jane Campion's film is also competing against Apple TV+ hit "CODA," and more, for the Best Picture Oscar.

"Disclaimer" is the first time that writer/director Alfonso Cuaron has written and directed every episode in a TV series. Its based on Renee Knight's book, and follows a TV journalist (Blanchett) whose darkest secret is being told in a novel.
