A rumor suggests that the 2027 "iPhone 19 Pro" is already undergoing evaluation testing with a new, quad-curved display set to bring the biggest design change in a decade.
There have been countless reports in recent months that point to Apple celebrating 20 years of the iPhone with the 2027 model. Part of that celebration will include a display that wraps around all four sides of the iPhone for the first time.
Now, a new report by Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station claims that Apple has already entered mass production testing of the device. The leaker also repeated the claim that it would have a quad-curved OLED display.
It isn't yet known what Apple's naming strategy will be for the 2027 iPhone. The leaker refers to it as iPhone 19 Pro, but it could also be called iPhone 20 Pro to echo the 20th anniversary.
20th-anniversary iPhone 19 Pro
While fall 2026 is expected to see the iPhone 18 Pro announced, Apple is already planning for what comes next. The iPhone 19 Pro will be announced in the fall of 2027.
The oft-rumored quad-curved display is set to be the biggest design change the iPhone has seen since 2017. Apple previously transitioned iPhone designs with the tenth-anniversary iPhone X.
A decade later, rumors are rife that the 20th-anniversary iPhone will gain a "Liquid Glass Display." Leaker Ice Universe has hinted at an "extremely subtle" curvature rather than the waterfall approach of some Android phones.
As recently as April 2026, Digital Chat Station believed that Apple had lined up Samsung Display to produce the "four-micro-curve" OLED panel. This matched a September 2025 report that Samsung Display was already working on the Color Filter on Encapsulation (COE) technology that the Liquid Glass Display will use.
As for the leaker themselves, Digital Chat Station has a strong track record. They correctly shared iPhone Air details ahead of its release, as well as news of the iPhone 17 Pro's move to 48-megapixel sensors for all three rear cameras.
More recently, they also suggested the heavily-rumored foldable iPhone will actually be called iPhone Ultra. That device is rumored to be set for a fall 2026 unveiling if it can overcome supply chain constraints and manufacturing problems.
