Apple TV+ announces Sharon Horgan-led dark comedy series 'Bad Sisters'

Apple TV+ has announced a new dark comedy thriller series dubbed "Bad Sisters," created by Emmy Award nominee Sharon Horgan and featuring an ensemble cast.

The 10-episode series will star Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, and Eve Hewson as the Garvey sisters, "who are bound together by the premature death of their parents and a promise to always protect one another."

In addition, the show will also include Claes Bang, Brian Gleeson, Daryl McCormack, Assaad Bouab, and and newcomer Saise Quinn.

"Bad Sisters" is being produced by Merman Productions and ABC Signature. It will also mark the first project by Horgan to premiere from a first-look deal with Apple TV+ inked in September 2021.

Horgan executive produces and writes the series alongside Brett Baer and Dave Finkel. "Bad Sisters" is adapted from the Belgian version of the series, which was dubbed "Clan" and created by Malin-Sarah Gozin.

I loved Horgan in “Pulling” and “Catastrophe”, so I can’t wait for this to come out.

But, the first-look deal was actually signed in December 2019, not September 2021. This show is just the first fruit of that deal, and was commissioned in September.
