Apple Camp, an annual summer educational program designed for families with young children and held at the company's retail locations, is returning to a full in-person format.
The iPhone maker on Wednesday officially opened up registrations for the educational program. Its return to a full in-person format follows two years of fully remote or limited in-person sessions.
During Apple Camp, the company will hold weekly events from June 20 through August 31. There is also now a new two-hour format for families who participate.
Participants will be able to create a digital comic book focused on protecting and celebrating the planet during the "Art Lab: Comic Book Adventure With Your Family" program.
As with past Apple Camp programs, the 2022 edition will see families use products like the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to snap images, add drawings, and ornament their creations to design their own personalized stories.
"We can't wait for campers and their families to ignite their imaginations as they learn from our team members and each other during Apple Camp," said Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's senior vice president of Retail + People. "This special program has provided a space for connection and learning in our stores around the world for the past 20 years, and we're thrilled to be hosting these experiences again."
Apple Camp is designed to families with children aged 8 to 12. Kids will participate alongside their family members in both indoor and outdoor sessions. Devices will be provided, and Apple is also offering a downloadable field guide with at-home activities.
