'Underrated' on Apple TV+ tells NBA star Stephen Curry's story

"Underrated" comes to Apple TV+

Apple has announced that a new documentary is coming to Apple TV+ that shares the story of NBA star Stephen Curry.

"Underrated" documents Curry's unique playing style that rocketed him to the National Basketball Association. It ends with his 2022 journey to win a fourth NBA title and his first NBA Finals Most Valuable Player trophy.

The documentary was produced by Apple Original Films, A24, Proximity Media, and Curry's Unanimous Media. Peter Nicks ("The Force," "Homeroom") serves as director, with Nicks and Academy Award nominee Ryan Coogler ("Creed," "Black Panther") from Proximity Media producing alongside A24.

Executive producers for the documentary are Sev Ohanian ("Judas and the Black Messiah," "Space Jam: A New Legacy") and Zinzi Coogler ("Judas and the Black Messiah," "Space Jam: A New Legacy") from Proximity Media.

Erick Peyton ("Benedict Men," "Jump Shot," "The Queen of Basketball") from Unanimous Media is one of the producers, and Jenelle Lindsay will be a co-executive producing on behalf of the company.

"Underrated" joins other sports content on Apple TV+, including "The Long Game: Bigger Than Basketball" about NBA hopeful Makur Maker; "Make or Break," following elite World Surf League competitors; and the docuseries called "They Call Me Magic" about NBA star Earvin "Magic" Johnson.
