'Carpool Karaoke: The Series' returns to Apple TV+ on June 23

Apple's Emmy award-winning series "Carpool Karaoke: The Series" returns in June with new episodes featuring Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne, Cedric the Entertainer, and more.

On Monday, Apple announced the return of "Carpool Karaoke: The Series," which is entering its sixth season. The company also shared a trailer on YouTube, giving fans a sneak peek at what the new season will entail.

This season will feature artists such as Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lea Michele, Alison Brie, Darren Criss, Yungblud, Cara Delevingne, Danny Pudi, the casts of "Ghosts," "Girls5eva," and Apple TV+'s "The Afterparty," as well as others.

The fifth season featured celebrities like Simu Liu, Jessica Henwick, Murray Bartlett, Alexandra Daddario, and Sydney Sweeney.

Formerly a skit performed on "The Late Show with James Corden," "Carpool Karaoke" first premiered on Apple Music in August of 2017.

In 2021, Apple moved the series to Apple TV+, requiring users to have an active subscription if they wish to watch it.

In both 2018 and 2019, Apple secured an Emmy for the series, winning in the "Short Form Variety Series" category.
