Apple TV+ sheds light on John Lennon's murder in upcoming docuseries

Apple TV+ has announced a three-part docuseries designed to give a comprehensive look into the murder of John Lennon.

"John Lennon: Murder Without A Trial" is a meticulously researched documentary that delves into the 1980 murder of the iconic musician. The series includes exclusive interviews with eyewitnesses, Lennon's closest friends, and Chapman's defense lawyers, offering unique insights into the tragic event."

The docuseries includes interviews and unreleased crime scene photos, providing new insights into the life and murder of John Lennon, as well as the investigation and conviction of his killer, Mark David Chapman.

"John Lennon: Murder Without A Trial" is produced by BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning team 72 films and directed by Nick Holt and Rob Coldstream. It features narration from Emmy Award winner Kiefer Sutherland, known for his work on "24." David Glover and Mark Raphael serve as executive producers alongside producers Simon Bunney and Louis Lee Ray.

There is currently no release date for the documentary.

Apple recently released "The Pigeon Tunnel," a documentary that delves into the history of the famed writer and former spy John le Carre.

It seems to have been covered pretty thoroughly over the decades since the murder. I really doubt that anything new will be presented. Same still photos, clip from fans mourning, news stories, Yoko, Paul McCartney, Ringo, etc. I was a fan of Lennon, but really at this point why bother? No news value or entertainment.
