UK-first streaming service EE TV launches on Apple TV 4K with branded remote

EE TV launched in December 2023 to offer UK users a new and flexible way to stream on-demand and live content. The app offers a wide selection of content including BBC iPlayer, Sky channels from NOW, TNT Sports, Discovery+, and more.

Customers using an Apple TV 4K to access EE TV can get a branded remote with a programmed button to launch the app. Plus, new EE TV customers get up to six months of Apple TV+ for free.

"The launch of EE TV is one of the first significant strides we're taking since launching New EE," said Marc Allera, CEO of EE. "The service is built for busy households, and we believe it will elevate the TV experience for consumers across the UK."

The EE TV app has a full TV guide that shows now-playing and upcoming content with simple navigation. It also provides access to on-demand content from premium channels including Netflix.

Customers can also stream EE TV from an EE TV Box Pro or EE TV Box Mini. Multi-room streaming is included for free with a package.

Apple TV 4K has become a popular option for cable companies to offer in place of a standard set top box. Those interested can also purchase an Apple TV 4K from Amazon.
