In a typical move for Apple, the online Apple Store has been taken down shortly before the company's Let Loose event. It's probably to prepare for new iPad models.
The online version of the Apple Store usually goes offline ahead of Apple's special events. This can be used to produce hype for the event, as well as to prepare Apple's website for the preorders of new products.
Usually, the store becomes available to access shortly after events conclude, complete with the just-announced products.
Tuesday's "Let Loose" special event is expected to introduce multiple iPad models, following a drought lasting over a year.
Among the rumors are updates to the iPad Pro with OLED screens, as well as chip updates. The iPad Air may also gain changes, including a new 12.9-inch size option.
While it's plausible the entry-level iPad and iPad mini could get updates, rumors point to those models getting changes at a later date.
AppleInsider will be reporting the event and its launches live as they happen.
