Rebellion is finally bringing the tactical shooter "Sniper Elite 4" to Mac, iPhone, and iPad, a mere seven years after its original release.
Confirmed on Wednesday with a trailer, "Sniper Elite 4" will be ported to Apple's platforms. It will be the first time players of the well-known shooter will be able to play the game while on the go.
In a blog post detailing the release, Rebellion writes the game will be playable this holiday season. It will be able to run on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, as well as any iPad or Mac running on an M-series Apple Silicon chip.
The World War II sniper experience takes the player to 1943 Italy. Playing as Karl Fairburne, they must use an array of authentic weaponry to defeat a new Nazi threat.
The game is best known for it's "X-ray Kill Camera," which shows an internal view of enemies as they are hit by bullets.
Cross-saving support is promised for Apple hardware. While touch controls will be available, players can also use external controllers.
"Sniper Elite 4" has already been played by more than 30 million players worldwide, and was nominated for a BAFTA.

Interesting timing for this story on the day commemorating the D Day landings. Hearing those few remaining veterans stories of the realities of war, stands at odds with this sort of game. My 2p.
Bummer. Already have it in ps4.
I hate it when they release this all so late in the day. You can pick Sniper Elite 4 up for a tenner or less for any platform at the moment due to its age and you just know they’re going to want to charge full new release price for the Mac…
This really is one of my favorite games of all time. The xray kill camera and sniping system is amazing and a sick and twisted form of psycho therapy. The sniping system is very interesting when the difficulty is high. But I find the game more relaxing when on easy.
