A new anthropomorphic advertisement for the Mac mini shows off how the pint-sized Mac is "five by five inches of pure power and purpose."
On Tuesday, Apple announced the New Mac mini, with the M4 chip upgrade, more USB-C, and a new smaller, sleeker design. The company also released a new ad for its tiny-but-mighty desktop Mac.
The short video follows an anthropomorphic Mac mini as it goes from unboxing to making itself at home on a desk. Throughout the video, Apple highlights the Mac mini's numerous features, including a wide array of ports, M4 and M4 Pro chips, and a new, compact size.
Additionally, it also spends time showcasing some of the new macOS Sequoia features, such as iPhone Mirroring and Apple Intelligence. The video also notes that the Mac mini is Apple's first carbon-neutral Mac.
The Mac mini is available for preorder starting on Tuesday, with first units expected to reach customers by November 8 — though those times could slip should there be enough interest. The Mac mini base model starts at $599, while the M4 Pro Mac mini starts at $1,399.

That’s a cute ad.
It makes me remember that around 10 years ago, Intel had launched a product line called NUC, Next Unit of Computing, a palm size PC, it fits to mount itself behind the monitor by the VESA mounting interface, which look almost exactly the same as today M4 Mac mini, but after Gen15, Intel abandon it on last year(?), it seems Apple finally makes this “Computing Unit” right.
Apple used Intel CPU before, it just can’t keep up.
