If you need an inexpensive, portable Mac, then check out Amazon's deal on the 13-inch MacBook Air with M3, offered at $255 off the retail price.
Anyone who wants to be able to use macOS while on the move will immediately think of the MacBook Pro. If you're also needing to watch your budget, the MacBook Air is a very good choice.
As part of its Black Friday deals week, Amazon is offering discounts on the MacBook Air, powered by the M3 chip. The best deal is on the 13-inch MacBook Air, configured with 16GB of unified memory and 256GB of SSD storage.
Along with that is Apple Intelligence support, an 18-hour battery, and a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display. A built-in 1080p FaceTime HD camera, three microphones, and four speakers with Spatial Audio support round out the specifications.
The list price is $1,099, but Amazon is selling it for $844 under the Black Friday Deal banner. This works out to be a saving of $255, or 23%.

does not make cheap products. Value, least expensive are better alternatives than cheap.
Bought the MBA 13. With a 13.5" display it is close to MBP 14.2" in size. Unlike MBP the MBA isn't chubby. Having 16 GB memory and better SSD performance at 256 GB than on M2 brings balance and value to it.
The dedicated emoji-key is odd and on Midnight the TouchID sensor is in need of backlight. The notch is too wide for what it does but OK if you find a dark background. Otherwise you will get a grey or solid grey menu with a font that is too fragile. We're past Chicago but SF Pro is not a nice font for the menu. Had to increase menu size.
Migration Assistant is fast (used a Thunderbolt cable) but stupid. It migrates apps that can't run, and it doesn't unauthorize your old computer. Had to manually removed LaunchDaemons/LaunchAgents. The "enter iCloud password" completes the dated experience.
It feels like a Mac which is a bit underwhelming. The login is iPad like - flat but instant. macOS Sequoia has far too many buttons, options, and menus. It is like iPhone Pro getting new buttons tagged on every year. Unlike System 7 (7.1.1) or OS X (10.4) this is designed by committee and one without a vision. We're talking UX rot and you still need to store and order files using a method designed for 400 K floppies. Apple should act on it.
