Hours before Apple reveals them with the iPhone 17 at its "Awe Dropping" event, Best Buy is already publicizing a deal on AirPods Pro 3.
It's not been a secret that AirPods Pro 3 are coming, as code in iOS already revealed it. Multiple leaks have also claimed that they will be coming soon, or at least before the end of 2025 — and even with a second version in 2026.
Now as first shown on Reddit, and confirmed by AppleInsider this morning, retail chain Best Buy is offering what it calls a $20 reward. Not only is the deal concerning the AirPods Pro 3, but it is being offered for a limited time that starts on September 9, 2025.
The offer ends on October 5, but the significance is that it begins on launch day. There are no other details, certainly none regarding the features of the AirPods Pro 3.
But more than the strongest indication yet that Apple will launch AirPods Pro 3, it appears to be confirmation that they will launch during "Awe Dropping and be available to buy immediately."
AirPods Pro 3 are expected to add a heart rate monitor, since that feature is already present in the Powerbeats Pro 2. It's also been reported that they will come with an improved pairing mechanism, and a smaller charging case.
Should there be a second edition of AirPods Pro 3 in 2026, it's now thought that these will add infrared (IR) cameras. They had been rumored for 2025, and they would help with environment detection for giving directions.
