A new report says that Apple's expected AirPods Pro 3 will be released soon, maybe not at the iPhone 17 event, but before the end of September 2025.

Following the discovery of code references to AirPods Pro 3 within iOS in June 2025, a new report from Bloomberg claims that their release is imminent.

While there is no date given, the claim is that they may even be released before the end of September 2025. The report is part of one listing what Apple is expected to launch at its iPhone 17 event on September 9, 2025, but doesn't say that will definitely include the new AirPods Pro.

What it does say is that, as previously reported, AirPods Pro 3 will feature a heart rate monitor, as already included in the Powerbeats Pro 2 released in February.

It will also borrow from the AirPods 4 line in that it will add the improved pairing mechanism from that range. Plus the charging case is now expected to be significantly smaller.

Beyond that, the new report reiterates that Apple is planning to add live translation to AirPods Pro 3. It does not specify whether this will be present at launch, though, and recent leaks suggest it will be delayed.
