Apple has announced that its new Apple Downtown Detroit store will open on September 19, 2025. That date also happens to be when the new iPhones and Apple Watches will go on sale.
The big day will see Apple release the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. As if that wasn't enough, the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and the Apple Watch SE 3 will also go on sale the same day.
Finally, the long-rumored AirPods Pro 3 will go on sale alongside the new phones and smartwatches.
The grand opening was already likely to be a baptism of fire for new Apple Store employees at the Woodward Avenue location. But adding a raft of new product launches to the mix will surely ramp things up a notch or three.
"Our brand-new store in downtown Detroit is opening soon," Apple said via an official announcement. "In the heart of a city pulsing with spirit and innovation, we're proud to build a space where creativity thrives and business takes shape. We can't wait to see what drives you."
The new store is being celebrated by the release of an exclusive wallpaper which shows a "D" within an Apple logo made from chrome. Apple has also shared a collection ot music and TV shows with Detroit themes in the Apple Music and Apple TV apps.
Apple Downtown Detroit will open at 1430 Woodward Avenue. The store will include all of the facilities we've become accustomed to, including Today at Apple sessions and the iconic Genius Bar.
All of Apple's September hardware releases are available for preorder right now. As mentioned, they'll officially go on sale on September 19.
