Apple's latest update to its Invites app brings a fresh Liquid Glass design, calendar syncing, and built-in video playback.
On Tuesday, Apple rolled out an update to Apple Invites, the event management app it launched in early 2025. This time, it was just as much a UI update as it was a feature update.
As anticipated, Apple has rolled out a few changes to the app to make it Liquid Glass compliant. Apple says that these were done to "make the app experience more expressive and delightful."
Additionally, the Invites icon has been slightly retooled. It now gives off a layered-glass appearance.
But Invites also got a couple of new features, too.
Calendar sync now allows you to keep all your invites tracked conveniently in the Calendar app. The feature works automatically once enabled.
Also added is the ability to directly play video within the Invites app itself. This is done via a newly implemented Shared Albums tile.
Apple Invites' last significant update was in August, when it added a countdown widget. Prior to that, it added in a link sharing tile.
Apple Invites is free to download, but it requires the event organizer to have an iCloud+ subscription. iCloud+ plans start at $0.99 per month and are included with all tiers of Apple One.
