The Android version of Apple Music has been updated to be more in line with the iOS 26 counterpart, with version 5.0 now adding song pinning and lyric translation to the streaming music app.

Apple's introduction of iOS 26 brought with it a number of changes to the Apple Music app. On Tuesday, Apple updated the Apple Music app on Android, bringing with it some of the benefits of the iOS 26 edition.

There are a trio of main feature updates to the Android app. The most obvious one is the automated lyric translation and pronunciation guide, which will tell you what the songs are actually saying, machine-translating the text lyrics into your language.

The pronunciation takes this one step further, in that it gives you a guide of what word elements are being said. This can be an invaluable feature for avid K-Pop fans to enjoy.

Accompanying that is pinning, which will let users pin songs, albums, artists, and playlists high up in the Library. This makes it quicker for users to access the pinned items, instead of scrolling through a list for them.

A third change is an updated Replay Experience, which recounts monthly stats to the user on their streaming habits.

Apple has only selected a few changes to port over, so Android users won't expect to have to deal with a Liquid Glass interface. However, some buttons have shifted from rectangular elements to more rounded pills.

Previously available in beta, Apple Music 5 is gradually rolling out to users via Google Play.
