A social media influencer known for photography work and tech reviews has been invited to Colorado by Apple, but no details have been shared beyond the gift of a backpack filled with essentials for the trip.

Apple's secrecy can be exciting, but it can also sound like the opening plot points of a campy horror movie. While more details were definitely shared behind the scenes, a social media influencer has shown a cryptic invite he received from Apple.

The influencer is known as @JHawkShoots on X and seems to be an active tech reviewer, photographer, and has even started his own clothing brand. Apple has previously provided the influencer with iPhone 17 review units, and he's got about 14.4k followers.

The invite itself is a blue-green card with some text and an Apple logo addressed to Johnny.

It reads:

"We're so excited to welcome you to Colorado. Please enjoy this bag of essentials to use during your time here. See you soon!"

The invite came with a backpack that has an Apple logo on it. The design of the bag looks similar to what you might see used while hiking, and it comes with what looks like one of Apple's white water bottles it sells in Cupertino.

There's obviously not much to glean from this, and JHawk isn't sharing details beyond "hitting the road for 11 days." He departed on Wednesday, October 8, and said, "Let's have a week."

Apple has increasingly been leaning into smaller content creators to promote its products. This could be a simple hiking trip focused on promoting the iPhone's camera capabilities in a scenic area of Colorado.

Or this could be a chance to get Apple's most vocal influencers lost down a mine shaft.

Whatever the case, the social apps will likely soon be filled with shocked-faced thumbnails about Apple's secret trip. Expect more details soon.
