Apple Invites will now allow attendees to say how many adults and children will be turning up, a change that comes just in time for holiday parties.
On Tuesday, Apple shared an update for Apple Invites, bringing a new feature to the event management app. While previously a person could indicate if they were attending an event, users can now provide a bit more detail.
Tuesday's update to version 1.6 allows guests invited to an event to say how many people will be attending, including how many are adults and how many are children. The update note also mentions the inclusion of Apple's customary bug fixes and performance improvements.
The change is an important one as the world heads to the usual end-of-year seasonal party period. By knowing the number of adult and child attendees, party holders will be more aware of how best to cater their event, based on the age groups of people who are now expected to turn up.
The update is available from the App Store for iPhone for free, though it does require the event organizer to have an iCloud+ subscription. It requires iOS 18 or later, and weighs in at 83.3 megabytes.
Previous updates to Invites include Calendar syncing and video playback in September, while in August, its chief change was a countdown widget. In October, the update added festive event backgrounds.
