The Apple Sports app has expanded its presence in Europe, with more than 20 new countries now able to access the free sports results app.

The Apple Sports app has been available in a relatively small number of countries so far, including the U.S., the U.K., and Canada. While it has had some availability in Europe, that has now grown to cover most of the continent.

The update in the App Store on Monday brought Apple Sports on iPhone to more European territories, as spotted by MacRumors. The list includes:

  • Croatia
  • Czechia
  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • Finland
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Latvia
  • Luxembourg
  • the Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Serbia
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • Ukraine

Previously, Apple Sports' availability in Europe was limited to Austria, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.

Apple Sports covers a wide assortment of both sports and franchises, including the EFL Championship, Bundesliga 2, Ligue 2, Primera Liga, Segunda Division, Serie B, MLS, MLB, NFL, and NASCAR, among others. The increased availability in Europe could also lead to even more enhanced coverage of sports in Europe.

Apple Sports gives users the ability to get real-time updates on races, games, and matches, including scores and updated stats. Fans can also flag their favorite teams and leagues, so they can keep track of the latest developments for sides they follow.

Recent updates to the app include NFL games in Live Activities as well as Widget support.
