A new firmware update for the AirPods Pro 3 has been released, though there are currently no details about its contents.
On Tuesday, following the release of the second iOS 26.3 developer beta, Apple issued a firmware update for the AirPods Pro 3. The firmware update increases the build number to 8B34, up from the previous 8B30.
The 8B34 firmware update is available only for AirPods Pro 3 and will not be released for AirPods Max or other non-H2 devices. Apple's AirPods Pro 3 were unveiled in September 2025, and they offer improvements to Active Noise Cancellation, foam-infused eartips, and heart rate sensing.
Although the exact contents of Tuesday's firmware update are unclear, the software is likely to contain various bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, rather than new features. Apple has not provided any release notes for this version, though the company website does include a support page for AirPods firmware updates.
Tuesday's 8B34 firmware update is installed automatically for users when the AirPods are plugged into their charging case and connected to an iOS device. There is no manual installation method for this firmware update.
