JourneyiPhone 17's 3-in-1 charging station, the Summit Ultra, keeps your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch topped off and ready to go at a moment's notice — but you'll pay for that convenience.

If you're in the Apple ecosystem, chances are you've got at least two — if not three, four, or five Apple devices that need to be charged at any given moment. Journey knows this, which is why it's created its own take on a convenient multi-charger.

The Summit Ultra is a three-in-one charger, designed to charge your MagSafe-compatible iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch. And, as a bonus, it does so without needing any sort of wires going to or from your devices — everything is grab-and-go.

I'm not even going to pretend like I don't adore the design. I do, and for multiple reasons.

The first is that it's just a nicely designed object. The peaked, fabric-covered shape is far more attractive than its flat, plastic tray peers.

It also fits a lot into a relatively small footprint, which is huge if you have limited space. Journey implies that this is designed for a nightstand, but I think it'd be equally at home on a crowded desk.

And, to top it all off, it has a touch-activated light in the "cave" portion, just above the spot where you charge your AirPods. I love this addition.

Sure, it's not a terribly bright light, but it's a nice bit of ambient lighting. I personally found it to be the perfect amount of light for locating that pesky, oft-hiding bottle of ibuprofen that lives on my nightstand.

Journey Summit Ultra 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station review: Ready, set, charged

Not only is the Summit a pint-sized companion that can fit just about anywhere you've got outlet access, but it's also a powerhouse.

The MagSafe charging pad delivers 25W of charging power to your compatible iPhone. To take advantage of that, you'll need a phone in the iPhone 16 or iPhone 17 lineup.

Just under the MagSafe panel, there's a flat spot that can be used to charge your AirPods at 5W. Actually, you could charge any wireless charging compatible earbuds that fit under there.

And, lastly, on the back, there's a 5W charger for your Apple Watch. Again, I'm impressed with the amount of charging they've set up in such a small footprint.

Journey Summit Ultra 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station review: The only drawback

It's hard to find any flaws with the Summit Ultra; it's a solid device, but there is one thing to consider before you pull the trigger on your purchase.

While I think it looks good, you should take a second to consider the fabric covering and how grimy it gets over time. While I think this would be less of an issue than, say, a fabric-covered tray, it's still one to be aware of.

I do love the fact that Journey decided to include a raised plastic portion for your phone to connect to. Sure, it changes the aesthetic a bit, but it also means your phone never makes direct contact with the fabric.

And yet, if you've got pets that love to cuddle up to your electronics, or toddlers with peanut-butter-covered fingers, this may not be for you. There's no way to clean the fabric cover, save for wiping it down with a lightly damp cloth.

Because of this, it's also not appropriate for workshops or kitchens where it may get exposed to a lot of dust or grime. Again, it's only sort of a drawback, and only for some people.

Journey Summit Ultra 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station review: You'll pay for what you get

While I have been pretty bullish on the Summit Ultra, something is holding me back from giving it my full-throated endorsement. And, unsurprisingly, that thing is the price.

This isn't a cheap charger. It's $170 before tax.

That's not an insubstantial amount of cash to ask a person to fork over. Unfortunately, we live in 2026, which means it's actually hard to gauge "expensive" versus "this is just what things cost, now."

That being said, the fact that it does replace three chargers in such a small footprint is a solid selling point. Additionally, the quality seems to be there — it doesn't feel cheap.
