An outage on Monday afternoon is seeing a "small percentage" of users unable to access Apple Music, play the Beats 1 stream, or listen to radio stations on impacted devices.
While complaints on social media seem to point the finger at the iOS 13.2 update, that does not appear to be the case. Impacted users span a wide array of hardware and operating systems, including Mojave, Catalina, iOS 12, and iOS 13. And, in some cases, one of a user's devices may be impacted, but not another on the same iCloud account.
Apple's System Status tracker says that there have been issues since 1:30 P.M. Eastern Time. At present, there is no update in regards to service restoration.
Not all users are impacted. None of the AppleInsider staff are seeing any problems. When contacted, sources inside Apple corporate not authorized to speak on behalf of the company say that a "small percentage" of all Apple users are having intermittent problems with the service.
Update: The issue was resolved at 1:34 p.m. Pacific, according to Apple's system status webpage.
