Apple teases 'Home Before Dark' with new trailer on YouTube

The trailer for the new Apple TV+ show 'Home Before Dark' follows a nine-year-old investigative journalist as she digs into her father's past, and is inspired by a true story.

The two minute long trailer serves as a quick introduction to the premise of the show. It follows Hilde, a young girl who moves from Brooklyn to a small lakeside town, as she resolves to solve a cold case that everyone else has given up on.

Hilde is portrayed by child actor Brooklynn Prince, known for her role in The Florida Project. Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe) plays the role of Hilde's father, Matthew.

The ten one-hour-long episode season has already been produced with a second season renewal announced during the reveal. The show is produced by Anonymous Content and Paramount Television Studios, and directed by Jon M. Chu, of Crazy Rich Asians fame.

The series is set to premier on April 3, 2020 on Apple TV+.
