Apple's homepage now pays homage to Apple TV+'s Emmy nominations, proudly declaring "18 Emmy Nominations, and we're just getting started."
Apple's burgeoning streaming service has had an impressive first year, receiving accolades for its original slate of movies, shows, documentaries, and specials. In 2020, Apple TV+ has received 18 Primetime Emmy Nominations, which cover a wide swath of categories.
"The Morning Show" leads with eight nominations, including Outstanding Lead Actress, Outstanding Lead Actor, Outstanding Supporting Actor, Outstanding Guest Actor, and Outstanding Directing.
"Beastie Boys Story" is nominated for five Emmys, including one for outstanding documentary and one for Outstanding Writing.
"Defending Jacob" received two nominations for Outstanding Cinematography and Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music.
"Home" is nominated for outstanding music composition, "Central Park" is nominated for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance, and "The Elephant Queen" is nominated for Outstanding Narrator.
The "72nd Primetime Emmy Awards" will be held on September 20 and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
