Apple on Tuesday quietly added Apple Watch to the Apple Card interest-free financing program, allowing card holders to spread out payments over a 24-month period.
The addition to Apple Card's financing initiative was announced by COO Jeff Williams during today's "Time Flies" event. Williams was tapped to detail the company's new Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE models.
"In addition, we're announcing Apple Card financing for Apple Watch so customers can easily pay across 24 monthly payments," Williams said.
Apple Card financing for Apple Watch is also being advertised as a blue banner on Apple's online storefront. Clicking on the accompanying link triggers a pop-up window displaying additional information about the installment program, as well as benefits to signing up for an Apple Card.
In addition to the 0% monthly APR for Apple Watch purchases, card holders receive 3% Daily Cash back when purchasing through Apple's online store, according to the notice.
Apple Card financing launched last year alongside iPhone 11. At the time, the monthly payment plan was limited to iPhone, but Apple expanded eligibility to include Mac, iPad and other products in June. Apple Watch and iPod touch were the lone holdouts.

Applied for Apple Card for this reason...I’d been waiting and yesterday, I was able to get the SS S6 Watch at the same time as applying for the Card in a single step. Smooth process...
Ordered my SS gold, using AC. Oct first week delivery. Zero interest for 24 months + 3% off.
Decided to upgrade my series 3, the whole process from the trade-in (they're giving me a decent price for it) to the purchase using my Apple Card plan, just so simple and smooth. Says it should be here next week.
