Apple orders retro-future dramedy 'Hello Tomorrow!' starring Billy Crudup

Apple TV+ has given a series order for "Hello Tomorrow!," a half-hour dramedy starring Billy Crudup of "The Morning Show."

The 10-episode series is said to be set in a retro-future group and centers on a group of traveling salesmen hawking "lunar timeshares," Deadline reported Thursday.

Crudup, who won an Emmy and a Critics Choice award for his role as Cory Ellison in "The Morning Show," will play Jack, described as a "salesman of great talent and ambition, whose unshakeable faith in a brighter tomorrow inspires his coworkers, revitalizes his desperate customers, but threatens to leave him dangerously lost in the very dream that sustains him."

Jonathan Entwistle will direct and executive produce the series. In addition to starring, Crudup is set to executive produce alongside is creators and writers Amit Bhalla and Lucas Jansen. Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil and Noah Weinstein will also executive produce.

The series will mark the third show on Apple TV+ from MRC Television. MRC is also behind "Shining Girls" and "The Shrink Next Door."

With at least one new series announced almost every single day now, could we perhaps get an updated list of what’s coming, and when?

Let me guess, he makes a bet he can sell them to a heap of people in this small out of the way town full of stupid people, where he falls in love with the librarian.

Then all burst into song.

edit: I haven’t quite worked out the ending yet though. Maybe he gets all the kids to build home made little rockets, which are all meant to launch at once and only kinda sorta do so to wild and varying degrees of unsuccess. All the parents cheer giddily.

actually I am starting to like this more than the plot described above.
