Apple debuts trailer for Sundance award-winning 'CODA'

A new trailer for upcoming Apple TV+ film, "CODA" has landed on YouTube, ahead of the August release to both the streaming service and select theaters.

"CODA" follows a young girl named Ruby, a child of deaf adults, also known as a "CODA." Ruby is the only hearing member of her family who often acts as an interpreter for her parents.

Ruby eventually discovers a talent for singing and wants to apply to Berkley School of Music, but is torn between leaving to pursue her dreams or staying with her family, whose fishing business has come to rely on her.

"CODA" debuted as part of the 2021 Sundance festival and received the Grand Jury Prize. Apple reportedly acquired the film for $25 million in January.

The film is set to debut on Apple TV+ on August 13, and will receive a limited theatrical release as well.
