Apple's Tim Cook to attend NYT's DealBook Summit on Nov. 9

Apple CEO Tim Cook is slated to appear at The New York Times' DealBook Summit, where he will kick off a conference that includes sit-down conversations with business moguls spanning a range on industries.

Announced on Monday by DealBook's Andrew Ross Sorkin, Cook is scheduled to open the business and policy symposium with a conversation discussing the internet and the broader technology sector.

"What is the future of the internet? What innovations will make the next leap possible? What battles should we be willing to fight? The leader of the iconic tech giant shares his vision," according to DealBook website.

Sorkin, who is hosting the summit as DealBook's founder, will likely sit down with Cook for the opening session that runs from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Eastern on Nov. 9.

The DealBook Summit will take place over two days in celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Times' popular financial news service.

Attending the conference alongside Cook are U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, General Motors CEO Mary Barra, WeWork co-founder Adam Neumann, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods, Rappler CEO Maria Ressa, Citadel CEO Ken Griffin, Ariel Investments co-CEO Mellody Hobson, Merck Executive Chairman Kenneth C. Frazier and General Catalyst Chairman Kenneth I. Chenault. Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, will speak as co-founder of non-profit Archewell, while Matthew McConaughey is set to expound on public policy. Also joining to discuss celebrity culture and entertainment are Dax Shepard and Monica Padman, co-creators of the "Armchair Expert" podcast.
