New Apple Card promotion will give $75 to new users, nothing to referrers

Apple is launching a new referral program for Apple Card, awarding $75 in Daily Cash to a new user referred by a current one — but nothing to the existing holder referring the new user.
The Cupertino tech giant announced the referral offer in targeted emails to current Apple Card holders recently. The limited-time offer runs through Dec. 24, and requires that the new Apple Card customer makes a purchase on their cards within 30 days.
"If you refer Apple Card to a friend, and they open a new Apple Card by December 24th and make their first purchase within 30 days, we'll give them $75 Daily Cash," the email reads. "Because there's no better gift this holiday season than hooking up a friend with Daily Cash."
The fine print included in the email, which was first spotted by iMore, notes that new users must create an account prior to Dec. 24 to qualify for the promotion.
It doesn't appear that the current Apple Card customer gets a reward for referring a new user.
