To celebrate the Japanese New Year, Apple is offering a two-day promotion and limited-edition AirTags.
Customers in Japan can receive a gift card worth up to 32,000 yen with the purchase of an eligible Apple product from January 2 to January 3. They range from an 8,000 yen gift card with an Apple Watch or up to 32,000 yen for specific Mac models.
During the promotion, the first 30,000 customers who purchase a new iPhone SE, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, or iPhone 13 mini will receive a limited-edition AirTag with a cute Year of the Rabbit engraving. That iPhone purchase also includes a gift card worth 8,000 yen.
Apple has terms and conditions that apply to the promotion. Customers who purchased an eligible iPhone in the Apple Store App do not qualify for this promotion and will not receive a special edition of AirTag.
The promotion is available at Apple's retail stores in Japan and the company's online store.
Apple ran a similar promotion in 2021 when it released limited-edition AirTags and Beats Studio Buds for the Year of the Tiger.
