According to a new rumor, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will have the same "frosted glass" rear as the iPhone Pro versions, and a new color.
For the last few generations of the iPhone, Apple has traditionally reserved a textured glass panel on the back of the Pro models, while the lower-end devices have a smooth panel. The glass finish offers texture and may help reduce the buildup of fingerprints for some people.
A user on the Weibo social network in China posted about the updated glass. They also claim that Apple will introduce a greenish-cyan color to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models.
The source of these rumors is the same person who accurately said that Apple would release the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in yellow, which it did in March. The new version could add a blueish hue to the green color of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini.
Other rumors for the iPhone 15 include a USB-C port, the Dynamic Island introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro models, Wi-Fi 6E, two selfie cameras, and more. Apple will announce the new iPhones later in September 2023.

Well that would suck. The non-frosted backs are grippier and allow for more vibrant colors.
Frosted or not, it's not making device less fragile unfortunately
