Musical comedy-drama "Flora and Son" is set to premiere in theaters on September 22 and will arrive on Apple TV+ on September 29.
The film, set in Ireland, follows the titular Flora and her petty-thief teenage son Max. Flora encourages Max to take up the guitar. With the help of Jeff, an LA-based online guitar teacher, they discover the healing power of music.
Eva Hewson, known for her work in films like "Bridge of Spies" and "Blood Ties," plays Flora. She also starred in the Apple TV+ series "Bad Sisters."

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, known for his roles in films like "Looper" and "Snowden", stars as Jeff. He also starred in the comedy-drama series "Mr. Corman" on Apple TV+.
The film is written and directed by John Carney, who is best known for his role as showrunner and executive producer of "Modern Love."
"Flora and Son" initially premiered at the 2023 Sundance film festival. It joins other Apple Original films, such as Oscar-winner "CODA," as well as upcoming historical action-epic "Napoleon.

She also appeared in Steven Soderbergh's The Knick, in addition to "Bad Sisters", which is on Apple TV+, and is mentioned in article.
